The latest technical innovations to reduce weight and increase comfort

We are happy to announce that IQPC’s leading industry forum on “Innovative Seating” will be back in Düsseldorf from February 25th – 28th 2014. For the 9th time in a row, this event gathers major industry leaders from OEMs, seat manufacturers and tier suppliers to share new and exciting developments in the industry.

Weight reduction maintains its position as seat development’s most important driver – and inhibitor: customers’ demands for comfort, flexibility and safety must of course not be restricted. The challenge across all industries is to minimise seat weight but at the same time optimising seat ergonomics and still meeting legal requirements. Seating professionals are faced with the on going challenge of improving their seats through renewability, recyclability, safety, and weight without compromising comfort.

This event will combine extensive experience from industry professionals and best practice updates – do not miss out!

  • Discover which light weight materials that are durable and environmentally friendly can be integrated in the seat to reduce CO2 emissions
  • Discuss the challenge of how to minimise the weight of seat structures and frames while at the same time maintaining safety standards
  • Gain insight into cross industry seating research for the latest in innovative seating design
  • Assess which ergonomic aspects need to be considered to create the perfect seat for all passengers and functions
